Italia e Giappone: le differenze culturali sul lavoro

Italia e Giappone sono due stati con differenze culturali molto marcate, sia nella vita sociale che in ambito lavorativo...

E’ perciò necessario analizzare con attenzione tali diversità in modo da comprendere al meglio le abitudini del popolo giapponese sul lavoro. Vediamo oggi due esempi: lo scambio dei biglietti da visita ed il cosiddetto sistema ringi,

La possibilità di incomprensioni o antipatie dovute alla mancanza conoscenza reciproca è alta quando si incontrano due persone provenienti da due diverse culture.

In Giappone, anche se ci sono stati forti cambiamenti nella cultura e nel modo di vivere, le differenze di pensiero rispetto alla cultura occidentali rimangono evidenti e, per certi versi, si sono rafforzate. Sul lavoro, difatti, vige ancora l’aspetto patriarcale dell’azienda, che implicitamente viene vista come una famiglia, dove il capofamiglia è il presidente e i fratelli maggiori i quadri ed i dirigenti, anche al di fuori delle ore lavorative. La permanenza nella stessa azienda in Giappone è difatti molto più lunga rispetto che in Italia ed in generale in Occidente.

Momento decisamente importante (e per certi versi delicato) è lo scambio dei biglietti da visita (meishi) tra due persone che vogliono presentarsi o lavorare assieme: è fondamentale presentarsi prima alla persona di rango più elevato e poi successivamente a quelle di rango inferiore, secondo l’ordine decrescente del ruolo in azienda. Eventuali prolungati colloqui e scambi di opinione (anche tecniche) con subalterni devono essere approvate da un quadro o dirigente, al quale rimane comunque l’ultima parola in fatto di decisione.

Un altro particolare momento è sicuramente il cosiddetto ringi, ovvero il momento nel quale viene presa una decisione aziendale e nel quale partecipano tutti i lavoratori interessati, lasciando formalmente l’approvazione della decisione al dirigente di più alto rango. Due i vantaggi principali: tutti i partecipanti vengono coinvolti ed ascoltati in prima persona ed inoltre la responsabilità della decisione viene fatta ricadere su un reparto intero e non su una singola persona, come capita in Occidente, con tempi però spesso inevitabilmente più lunghi (nel caso di una decisione importante e strategica il processo è necessario l’avvallo di un manager di grado ancora superiore a quello di capo dipartimento e così via fino al responsabile più alto).
